Mulching is essential for plants to survive the hot Oklahoma summer.

The Master Gardeners Association of Rogers County (MGARC), plant and maintain the front flower beds at the Rogers County Courthouse.  Annuals are added every spring, weeding and mulching occur throughout the summer, and fall is time for cleaning beds, pruning shrubs and cutting back perennials.

Volunteers from the Courthouse Maintenance Committee came together to weed, plant and mulch the Courthouse gardens. There was plenty of laughter and fellowship as the volunteers worked to beautify the courthouse grounds.  And beautify we did! Rogers County Sheriff, Scott Walton even paused to comment on the work being done by our members, how much it was appreciated and how attractive it looked. Thank you volunteers for your hard work.  It shows!
